About our training services
With more than 40 years of experience in the recycling and waste management industry, our expertise stands us in good stead to provide the best training.
Delivered by our award-winning in-house training department, we have a wide range of competitively priced training programmes that can be tailored to suit your business’s requirements.
Our courses offer participants the chance to gain qualifications, knowledge about the industry and discover new ways to improve their working environment. Depending on the course, participants can learn about recycling processes, first aid, health and safety or gain practical experience using plant machinery in our purpose-built, accredited training facilities.
We also offer health and wellbeing courses, which aim to increase personal self-awareness of participants and support the mental health of a workforce.
Perfect for new entrants into the industry, our courses give marginalised people the chance to enhance their CVs, gain skills and progress into full-time work with help from charitable programmes like our Residential Charity. The training we provide gives men – frequently ex-offenders or the homeless – the chance to rebuild their lives within a supported environment.
The courses we offer also support and sustain our other charitable activities, like our HMP Academies, which teach skills and offer work experience to offenders, and our Food Redistribution Centre, which redistributes surplus food to charitable organisations across Lancashire and Cumbria.
