The Recycling Lives Terry Jackson Academy

Named after Terry Jackson, our founder, the site where Recycling Lives first developed and grew from, is now a site dedicated to employees and future employees - a truly dedicated Training Academy.

The Academy, the first of its kind in the recycling industry, is a dedicated space for internal employee training and development, also supporting offender rehabilitation through the Recycling Lives social enterprise.

Staff training includes management development, specific vocational and life-skill based courses, with sustainability modules designed to empower attendees to address climate change both in the workplace and at home. Internal core programmes offer development opportunities for senior leadership and managers, employees and 'Rising Stars' identified as potential future leaders.

It will be used to induct all new employees as well as upskill ex-offenders working with the business as part of the long-standing social impact commitment.

The Academy is about Recycling Lives' commitment to the future.  It's about growing employee talent and fostering pride to be working in recycling, and specifically within Recycling Lives.
