It’s a full house for Recycling Lives training department

It’s a full-house for the Recycling Lives training department as a full cohort of Achieve project referrals moves on to a 15-week training and work experience scheme with us!

Following their attendance at a two-day Preparation for Employment (P4E) course at Recycling Lives last month, all of the seven Achieve Programme participants from the latest cohort have been invited to stay on for the whole 15 weeks!

The training team was impressed by all of the participants commitment to the project during the P4E course at the end of June. At Recycling Lives, we believe that everyone deserves a second chance – as long as they’re willing to put in the work needed. The latest Achieve cohorts showed real enthusiasm and seriousness about getting their lives and careers back on track, which is exactly the kind of positive attitude needed.

As part of their first step back into the working world, the Achieve participants will now spend two days a week working with the training team in order to gain skills that will help them build a career in the recycling sector, in addition to working towards their NVQ in Sustainable Recycling Activities.

We’ll keep you updated of their progress as they move through the 15-week course. For now, though, we wish all the participants the best of luck in their new endeavour!
