Recycling Lives has welcomed another successful start-up company to the business incubator suites at its Essex Street premises.
LIS – Link Independent Solutions – is a flourishing new finance company that specialises in life and home insurance, loans, mis-sold PPI and mortgages, and pension endowments. LIS employs six people who offer customers instant, over-the- telephone comparisons on their finance and insurance plans. The company is paid on a commission basis, meaning that customers’ cover is not affected.
The two directors of the company are a real success story. Only 22 years old, Jack Helm and Andrew Howcroft have already established LIS as a market leader in the financial services sector and are working with Lloyds TSB, Royal Sun Alliance, Zurich, AXA, LV and Legal and General to deliver their services.
LIS is a great example of how hard work and good ideas can be the basis for a hugely successful venture. Andrew Howcroft started out as a night support worker at the Recycling Lives charity before moving on to a position in the sales department of New Reg Ltd., selling personalised number plates. From there, he moved into app development. Jack Helm ran his uncle’s marketing and advertising company before going on to set up Aims Utilities, which is part of the Aims holding group.
This business-minded pair have put in the hard work and are now reaping the rewards: as LIS goes from strength to strength, they’re hoping to scale up the size of their business unit at Recycling Lives and are on target to turn over £500,000 in the first six months of trading.
Recycling Lives wishes Jack, Andrew and the whole team at LIS all the best!
