Recycling Lives helps keep AGE UK afloat for Guild procession

Recycling Lives is supporting its local community and the charity Age UK by donating a scrap car to the organisation as it sets to work building its float for the Preston Guild Community Procession.

Age UK, the charity formed from Age Concern and Help the Aged, will be taking part in the Procession as part of its mission to demonstrate just how much older people have to offer their communities. The charity has secured a place for its float and will be using the opportunity to reach out to other older Preston residents and show them just how much is on offer right on their door-step.

The Preston Guild Community Procession is one of four processions to be held over the course of Guild celebrations and will showcase the diversity and cohesion that make Preston such a vibrant city to live in.

Recycling Lives is proud to be supporting Age UK in its participation in this year’s Guild celebrations. Staff and Residents are looking forward to getting into the swing of things once festivities start, and there’s still the small matter of the Guild Half Marathon to contend with in October, so watch this space!
