FOUR Recycling Lives representatives were treated to a tour around one of the world’s largest consumer brand companies.
Residents Sparky and Stephen along with Recycling Lives Operations and Training Manager Neil Flanagan and Press and Public Relations Officer Vanessa Cornall were given a guided tour of Procter and Gamble’s Northern Distribution Centre in Skemlersdale.
They received an overview of the company and its brands, how it distributes its products, an overview of the sites history and a tour of the Distribution Centre itself.
The Residents got to see how the products are packaged, sorted and electronically stored within the large centre.
Sparky, who was referred to Recycling Lives from Fox Street Community Night Shelter said: “It was really great to see how a company as big as Procter and Gamble works on the inside and to get a chance to ask questions about some of its biggest brands.
“We also got a goodie bag, which was really nice.”
Procter and Gamble is a massive supporter of Recycling Lives donating daily essentials to each and every Recycling Lives Residents throughout their stay.
They are also one of the major sponsors for the 2012 London Olympics.
