Recycling Lives has welcomed a new team member to its busy IT department – local lad Jordan Gaskell!
20-year-old Jordan is an ideal candidate for the job. For someone so young, he already has quite a bit of experience in IT recycling; he previously worked for his grandfather’s IT recycling firm, which was also based in a small lot at the Recycling Lives Recycling Park depot.
Jordan’s brother, Michael, is part of the team at Recycling Lives’ flat panel display unit processing centre. When he saw that there was a position available in the IT recycling department, he knew that Jordan would be a good choice for the role, and encouraged him to apply. Sure enough, Jordan’s experience and maturity impressed IT Recycling Manager, Paul Ballard, who offered him the position.
Footy-mad Jordan began work on the 15th October and has already fitted right in; he knows quite a few of the lads on the site from the time he spent working for his Granddad, and he’s made himself right at home stripping old computer equipment ready for reuse or recycling.
Recycling Lives is proud to be one of the most prominent employers of local people, and wishes Jordan every success with his new role!
