Recycling Lives will be exhibiting at Chorley Careers and Jobs Fair on Thursday 21st November. We will be recruiting for new staff members to join our recently opened Chorley site.
Despite the difficult economic climate, Recycling Lives continues to grow; and as we go from strength to strength, we maintain our commitment to the charity sector, supporting social welfare causes and creating employment opportunities. We are looking to expand our work force at our Chorley site, increasing our number of new staff in response to this exciting period of development and change.
In a model partnership between Recycling Lives UK and Chorley Council that is set to transform Third and Public Sector funding, we have expanded our operations into one of Chorley Council’s town centre recycling depots on Bengal Street (situated on a main route through the town). The site provides metal buying, scrap car buying, and waste recycling facilities and services, along with similar services by Chorley Council. Independent, our new Bengal Site uses successful systems, procedures and resources from Recycling Lives established operations hub on Longridge Road in Preston.
The Recycling Lives UK charity provides accommodation and employment opportunities for the homeless and long-term unemployed; we seek to recruit staff members that share our passion for contributing to social welfare and successful outcomes for the charity’s Residents.
Thursday’s Chorley Careers and Jobs Fair will feature several large employers, and volunteering and advice services from across the borough, as well as key players in further education and apprenticeships; which include British Aerospace, Lancashire Constabulary, Armed Forces, RSM Tenon, Springfield Fuels and Chorley Council.
With free access to employment opportunities, school leavers taking their first step on the career ladder as well as those in search of career advice are also invited to attend.
The event will benefit from a Jobs Board detailing current vacancies and a ‘Book a slot’ opportunity to speak with the MP, Leader or Deputy Leader of Chorley Council; whilst Via Partnership will give short presentations on CV writing and interview skills. There will also be a self-employment presentation by Chorley Council’s Business Advisor.
