Recycled fire engine introduced at RLRP

Team learn firefighting skills as on-site fire engine is introduced at Recycling Park.
Staff soaked up new knowledge at the RL Recycling Park as they were trained to use our new on-site fire engine.
Bought from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service the decommissioned, but fully-functioning, appliance will be used by staff in the event of emergencies, to prevent any fires from worsening before the fire service arrive.
Recently retired firefighter Paul Gardner [centre] ran the training for our team, covering how fires can occur, spread and be extinguished.
H&S manager Simon Green [third from left] explains:
“This is a new set of skills for our staff and helps us to prevent incidents worsening, to protect our team.”
