The new painting and sandblasting department at Recycling Lives Recycling Park is now up and running.
The new department which gives a much deserved face lift to all our old and tired Recycling Lives skips and wagons is being run by fully qualified sandblaster and painter Attila Balogh known as ‘Totty’ to his friends.
Attila has worked for Recycling Lives for more than five years after starting out on the CRT lines.
He is now helping to save the company money by being able to refurbish all the old skips and wagons in-house.
The new plant welding buildings are also due to open soon at the Recycling Lives Recycling Park and will be the place where all repairs are carried out on our skips and wagons.
A further paint shop is also on the cards to open in the near future which will enable us to offer smooth finish paint jobs for cars or machinery etc.
The aim of the finer paint shop is to eventually re-paint all of the tired vehicles in the Recycling Lives transport fleet, keeping us looking in tiptop shape.
The finer paint shop will be situated in a sealed room in the back of the new plant welding buildings.
Gary Halpin, Recycling Lives Plant Manager said: “Having the painting and blasting departments on site and operational will save the business all the money it would have had to have paid to a third party to re-spray our vehicles. We are really looking forward to all the departments getting up and running.”
