This week has seen another seven new referrals joining the National Offender Management Service’s (NOMS) Achieve North West Programme at Recycling Lives.
The participants on the scheme visited the Recycling Lives Retail Park last week and spent two days undertaking the company’s specially developed Preparation for Employment (P4E) course. Having successfully completed this course, they will begin their 15-week placement at Recycling Lives, beginning with another two-day slot with the company’s award-winning training team, where they will learn the basics of working in the recycling sector and begin to work towards their NVQ in Sustainable Recycling Activities – a vocational qualification that will help to improve their employability as they progress towards a full-time career.
The Achieve project has been in its second round since January this year, and this is the fourth cohort of arrivals that Recycling Lives has welcomed this year. Recycling Lives wishes every participant the best of luck with their placements, and looks forward to keeping up-to-date with their progress!
