Recycling Lives' Contribution to Lancashire awarded

Recycling Lives’ contribution to communities has been honoured with a leading business award.

The social business was handed the Contribution To Lancashire Award at Downtown In Business’ regional celebration.

Lancashire Business Awards’ judges said “Recycling Lives’ contribution to Lancashire is far greater than economic” as they announced the accolade.

Acknowledging the organisation’s significant growth, doubling output and growing sales in the last year, awards organisers said it was Recycling Lives’ charitable activities to reduce reoffending and tackle food poverty that really set it apart.

With headquarters in the county, Recycling Lives has sites across the North and Midlands and is expanding nationally.

Managing director William Fletcher said:

“We’re delighted to have had our commitment and contribution to Lancashire communities recognised and celebrated in this way. We are excited to be expanding our commercial and charitable activities to support more communities across the country. Thank you to all at Downtown In Business for putting on a great awards ceremony and our congratulations go to all the winners and finalists.”

The organisation was also shortlisted in the Customer Focussed Business category, while managing director William Fletcher was a finalist for the Male Networker of the Year Award.

Other winners on the night included Recycling Lives’ client and partner, Eric Wright Group, named Property Business of the Year, and Panaz Fabrics, named Business of the Year.
