Recycling Lives is rapidly expanding across the UK, offering total waste management and recycling services from 11 sites nationwide. Our unique social business model means that this expansion helps improve the lives of hundreds of people through our charitable activities. To support these services, our workforce has grown 23% in 2016/17 – and we’re still growing!

Our mission is to continue working as a business where the social value of our work is as important as the commercial and environmental impact of our business.

We aim to expand our business in areas where we manage commercial contracts, charitable partnerships, and our HMP Academies. Doing this will protect and develop our existing workforce and create employment whilst also supporting the growth and opportunities delivered by our charities to local communities.

Our environmental and social aims drive our innovation, helping us to expand our operations nationally and provide more support to local communities.

In the past year, we have opened new sites across the UK and expanded our metal recycling processes so that we are now able to extract more copper from the scrap we receive, thus allowing our business to reduce waste and to be more profitable. This is not only beneficial to the environment and our business, but this allows us to invest more into our charitable activities, helping us to expand our food redistribution scheme into Cumbria and open two new HMP academies.

Development & training
DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING

We offer excellent progression opportunities and a variety of specialised in house training depending on job role, including a twelve-month training and development course for managers and master driver training for individuals who want to become a class two driver.
