About the role:

To complete yard duties and operate the FLT in a busy recycling yard. If required, process end of life vehicles (ELV’s/ Scrap cars) and book in vehicles coming onto the yard.

Key Accountabilities
  • Liaise with the office to ensure goods in / out are recorded
  • To keep the area you are working in clean and tidy and free from hazards
  • To work within and to adopt all H+S procedures that are in force at all the companies’ depots
  • To liaise with the supervisor you are working with on a daily basis to determine workloads for the day and any problems arising from the previous day’s production etc
  • To inform management immediately of any defects that may cause any item of equipment to be either unsafe
  • Operate FLT around the yard
  • Ensure FLT daily check sheets are completed
  • To keep all paperwork up to date e.g. job sheets
  • Complete yard duties and vehicle processing (depollution) duties as required – training will be provided
  • Report any problems to the Site Manager as soon as they arise
  • Meet targets relating to the number of ELV’s depolluted
  • Any other duties as directed by the Site Manager

  • Own transport may be needed due to the location of the site
