Recycling Lives involvement in the UK’s number one professional cycling team means we already receive worldwide brand exposure. The recent Grand Prix event, further enhancing this exposure, saw the Rapha Condor Recyclingteam race to win a superb individual gold medal as Graham Briggs lead the field home. Not far behind and finishing a commendable 4th was teammate Simon Holt and in 16th was Lloyd Rys with Adam Bonser finishing in 49th to complete a fine result of 4 inside the first 50.
The Hillingdon Grand Prix result underlines the quality that is present throughout the team and a good performance from all members made the result happen. Against the well versed and experienced Plowman Craven team riders Rapha Condor Recycling showed what they are made of, preventing world team pursuit silver medallist from making an escape from the chasing pack, our riders chased him down forcing him to rejoin the pack from which Briggs ultimately out sprinted him to the finish line.
The team are now racing in the iconic FBD Insurance RAS race in Ireland with massive coverage. Stena Line part sponsor the race and also our team for the duration of the event. The riders are doing very well in this excellent event with a fourth, two stage wins, the king of the mountains, and the best U23 rider. The race is covered on TV every day and in Chris Newton and Kristian House we have winners of three previous events.
