Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) training

We offer Mobile Elevated Work Platform training for a range of levels:

Falls from height are the most common cause of fatalities in the workplace, so it is essential that you are trained effectively before you begin to work in such an environment. The Recycling Lives MEWP training courses provide you with the knowledge and experience to safely operate a Mobile Elevated Work Platform, reducing the risk of an accident occurring when you are working from height. By taking one of our MEWP courses, you – and your business – are covered by the Health and Safety Executive regulations and meet the requirements of The Work at Height Regulations 2005 act.

75% of the course is practical training, using Recycling Lives equipment and taking place on a purpose-built training area within your premises. You will be trained in proper harness use, ensuring the safety of all operators and will gain an understanding of pre-use checks and daily checks on loader and carrier vehicles. In addition, you will learn about siting, stability and mobility factors, hydraulic safety devices, load indicators and limit switches. Following course completion, you will receive an Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (ITSSAR) Operators Certificate.
