Grand Designs Live London is the UK’s number 1 consumer show for anyone who has an interest in design, build, interiors, shopping, home wares, gardens, kitchens and bathrooms and innovation. This year’s show held in trendy Dockland’s Excel Exhibition Centre was packed full new interactive features, celebrity experts and great free advice. Consumers were able to source ideas and inspiration from the hit TV show; view the widest range of kitchens and bathrooms in the UK and see live builds in the Grand Village.
The exhibition held over 9 days in London hosted the latest and greatest in design and build innovation and technique. Among the variety of events taking place at the show was a series of seminars covering a whole host of differing topics relating to the design industry. One of the seminars being a lowdown on recycling and its impact into the design and build industry. Sitting on a panel of experts was Charles Jackson, of Recycling Lives giving his expert knowledge and opinion on recycling and how it is done. Sitting on the panel with Charles was David Keegan from Garden Design, Mark Barthel, director of waste minimisation at WRAP (Waste Resources Action Programme) and Wayne Hubbard, principal policy officer at the Greater London Authority, with key responsibility for implementing our new London Mayor, Boris Johnson’s waste strategy.
Involvement in this prestigious event further goes to illustrate the wealth of experience and knowledge we have surrounding the organisation. The ability to use the industry knowledge we possess will be key to the effective delivery of the Recycling Lives project from concept to reality and proof of this is evident in the construction of the first Recycling Lives centre in Preston.
