Work experience placements help our Residents back to independent living
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become an increasingly important part of business in the commercial sector, as clients and consumers look for more from their suppliers. Managing and off-setting the impact of commercial operations is crucial for any ethical company.
Simply by working with Recycling Lives, companies can enhance their CSR agenda. Our social welfare charity, which is supported by our commercial activities, helps disadvantaged people to turn their lives around and get back into secure accommodation and full-time work. Every contract we win helps to support our charity objectives and continue the good work we do in communities all over the UK.
As a more direct approach to social responsibility, our Corporate Partners are also able to offer training, work experience and employment opportunities to our Residents, many of whom are lacking the self-esteem and skills needed to get back into work. Development opportunities with our Corporate Partners are essential in helping our Residents take the final step on their journey back to independent living.
Offering work experience and employment opportunities to formerly homeless and unemployed individuals is a way for our Corporate Partners to give something back to the community and, with the social return on investment from helping a disadvantaged person back into independent living standing at £35,000, the impact is enormous.
