Giving everyone their FareShare

Food banks are being used now more than ever. We aim to help charities, school breakfast clubs and people in need meet their food needs and function properly. We do this via the Recycling Lives FareShare Food Redistribution Partnership which feeds over 5,000 people each week.

FareShare Lancashire and Cumbria.

Recycling Lives has been running the FareShare Food Distribution Centre in Preston since October 2015.

Our Food Distribution Centre is in partnership with national charity, Fareshare. Fareshare saves good food destined for waste and sends it to charities and community groups, who transform it into nutritious meals for vulnerable people.

The Recycling Lives Food Distribution Centre provides fresh, in-date food to groups such as children’s breakfast clubs, homeless shelters and day centres. We currently serve many Community Food Members across Lancashire and Cumbria, from Southport to Morecambe, and are looking to expand to cover the whole area, up to the Scottish border.
