Close Finish

Success is becoming a byword for the Rapha Condor Recycling team as they notched yet another fantastic win in Rochdale. With 2 on the podium and completed a trilogy of wins for Newton at this event the team underlined their sporting dominance once more.

After rain threatened to soak Rochdale on Wednesday evening as the Go-Ride event was about to get under way, the night of racing in the Lancashire town centre turned out just fine with the sun shining on the circuit that Rapha Condor recycling.co.uk rider Chris Newton has made his own over the last three years. This year was no different as he won his third straight Elite Circuit Race there but it was close.

From the word go, the rider aiming to represent Britain in the Beijing Olympics and currently training for that event at Manchester, was on super form and from the word go was attacking the race and made several race winning moves but it was out of the ashes of a break that the winning move eventuated when he and Russell Downing got away from the rest.

The third place however went to Rapha Condor recycling.co.uk rider Kristian House who clipped off the front late in the race and held his place all the way to the finish.

Recycling Lives offers good Corporate Social Responsibility.

Recycling Lives operates nationally to provide a wide range of recycling activities to Local Authorities, commercial organisations and the public. Recycling Lives provides housing, training and long term employment in the recycling sector, to people who would otherwise be homeless; including ex-armed forces personnel, probation and those from chaotic backgrounds.

Each Recycling Lives centre provides up to 48 quality en-suite rooms; training and office facilities; incubator units for entrepreneurs in social enterprise; industrial space for our recycling processes and retail space to sell good manufactured by Recycling Lives from recycled waste.

We do not ask for, or rely on 'gifts' from you, as we always pay fair prices for scrap metal recycling, plastic and other recyclables. By selling your waste to Recycling Lives your organisation helps us to be sustainable and you to show good corporate social responsibility.

Our social enterprise 'manages' good Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on your behalf, by ensuring that our recycling activities are carried out by employees that would otherwise be marginalised or even forgotten by society.
